In Greek and then Roman architecture the figure of the woman was commonly symbolized as the architectural element which supported the weight of the whole building. Beginning from the size, the two photos Sotto Biancaneve are born with the intention of creating a dialogue with the proportions and structures of an architectural space. Feet and legs maintain the vertical line of a column, but if on one hand they show an apparent solidity, on the other hand they present themselves as a sparkling caryatid without support.

Nell’architettura greca e poi romana la figura della donna veniva comunemente rappresentata come l’elemento architettonico che sorreggeva il peso dell’intero edeficio. A partire dalle loro dimensioni, le due fotografie Sotto Biancaneve, nascono con l’intento di creare un dialogo con le proporzioni e le strutture di uno spazio architettonico. Gambe e piedi mantengono la verticalità di una colonna, ma se da una parte mostrano un’apparente solidità, dall’altra si presentano come una scintillante cariatide senza appoggio.
